The Mike O'Meara Show

  Mike O'Meara

Known statewide as "The Favorite Son of Glastonbury, Connecticut"... Mike co-hosted the “Don and Mike Show” with Don Geronimo from 1985 to 2008 and currently hosts the Mike O’Meara Show.

Mike is a cunning mimic and can ape nearly every celebrity in the stratosphere [but our favorite voice remains his own].  Along his professional journey, Mike has spent time working in the tobacco fields, driving a school bus, and as a club deejay... but radio proved to be his calling.

Mike is the loving father of two daughters [Catherine and Elizabeth] and has a complex relationship with his girlfriend's dog.

Buzz Burbank

Buzz Burbank was born in a one room shack, October 7, 1953, on the outskirts of town. Since childhood, he has fought for fairness and justice...and searched for truth, or something very close to it. He has also pursues wine, women and song, or something very similar to wine. He also loves cats, but don't read too much into that.

He's was a part of the Don and Mike Show for over 15 years, and now he’s an integral part of The Mike O’Meara show with his hourly news buzzes.

Buzz is a Libra, and doesn't care for sports, which, to some people, makes him less of a man.

Robb Spewak

Instantly recognizable by his huge, flat head, Robb was with the “Don and Mike Show” since 1992 when he started as an intern.  In the ensuing 15 years, Robb became an employee and has held the titles of producer, writer, on-air contributor, and currently in-studio producer of The Mike O’Meara Show.

Robb holds a degree in Broadcasting from Virginia Commonwealth University [No, He really does!] and he is a rich source of useless information.  Despite what you may have heard, Robb is happily married to his wife Cary and they have two children [Julia and Robert III].

Robb has no fear of death, as he looks forward to meeting Elvis Presley in the hereafter.

Beth Ann McBride

Currently the executive producer of The Mike O’Meara Show.  She was born in Philadelphia and raised in Winston-Salem NC.  First radio show was on "The Music 106” the campus station for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  Never in a million years did she think this would be her career. Worked in Raleigh, Charlotte, Buffalo, Erie and St. Croix USVI. Got really tan there.

She’s tried to get a "real" job and have held positions selling new homes, directory assistance operator, flooring sales and even managed a video store.  Be kind, rewind!

   Joe Ardinger

As the phone screener for The Mike O'Meara Show, Joe is the guy at the velvet rope to the show. If you don't have your "Cool Card", then you don't get on the air with the gang. Joe also is the show's "Man on the Street", going to various locations for various reasons to ask various questions variously.

Joe loves animals, bar-b-que, beer, guitars, and beer. He has played guitar for 30 years this year and he's probably a better player than you. He spends his free time managing his many hair brained get rich quick schemes and staggering around his Burke, Virginia manse.

Joe is also the host of "Joe Radio" which airs Saturday nights at 9pm. Tune in and join the farce!

Katie Powers

We first met Katie while on a show fact-finding-mission to Good Guys in Washington, D.C.  She was interning at the popular nightspot where she had a humorous act involving bananas; she would slip on them. We have been trying to keep her off the pole ever since.
Katie has been with WJFK since 1999 and considers herself a Jill-Of-All-Trades. She was sucked into The Mike O'Meara web when they realized that she brought a touch of humanity with her... and that Robb couldn't run the commercials.

Born in Ohio, she grew up on tomatoes and would cross the border to West Virginia for her Mama's beloved biscuits. She credits tomatoes for her rosy cheeks and
