Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade have engaged in a bit of a social media war.
This all started when Noah Coslov of CineSport interview Durant and asked him about Sports Illustrated's Top 10 list of NBA players. Coslov asked Durant who was missing from the list.
10. Melo, 9. Kobe, 8. Wade, 7. Dwight Howard, 6. Duncan, 5. Russell Westbrook, 4. Tony Parker, 3. Chris Paul, 2. Durant, 1. LeBron
Durant said, “I think you’re missing James Harden."
When asked who he would take off the list to replace with Harden, Durant responded as soon as Coslov finished with the question
Wade clearly got wind of what Durant said and posted this on Instagram... (Did Wade's GF write this? If not he has very pretty handwriting)
It didn't take long for Durant to then issue his response...

Now this could all very easily be a fake social media war in an effort to promote the season or even Gatorade...
Although Darren Rovell says he spoke with Gatorade and that's not the case...

Either way it's great. Wade hasn't been the same player the last two years because of knee injuries but has still had enough in the tank to help LeBron and the Heat win back to back titles. If a three peat isn't motivation enough to return to form, maybe Durant getting under his skin will be.
