Next week the world's best golfers will be at Oak Hill Country Club for the 95th PGA Championship all the while the Bills are holding training camp at St. John Fisher. Pittsford will be the place to be.
On Tuesday Tiger Woods was in Pittsford for a practice round along with caddie Joe LaCava, girlfriend Lindey Vonn, a handful of club members and a few police officers in advance of next week's final major of the season. Woods spent about fours at the Donald Ross design course.
Woods is 0-17 in majors since winning the 2008 U.S. He remains stuck on 14 major titles, four shy of tying Jack Nicklaus' mark of 18.
In 2003, Woods tied for 39th at the PGA Championship at Oak Hill. He recorded rounds 74-72-73-73 in what was then his highest 72-hole total in a major. He was never in contention.
Woods is a 9-2 favorite for this weeks Bridgestone Invitational and is also the favorite to win in Rochester new week.
Speaking of next week there will be Tiger sightings everywhere. Some true, some false. There will be reports, tweets, facebook mentions where Woods is spotted.
The only thing I care about is Woods beingspotted near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday along with Phil Mickelson. I don't need another Shawn Micheel winning a major at Oak Hill
