Golden State's Stephen Curry put on a show last night at Madison Square Garden scoring an NBA season-high 54 points. In one of the most entertaining games I have watched all season, Curry's performances reminded me of Reggie Miller's game five heroics of the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals. I went to bed last Wednesday night because of Curry.

   Curry was 18-for-28 from the floor and finished one shy of the NBA record with 11 3-pointers.  The Davidson product connected on  11-for-13 on  three-pointers and 7-for-7 from the foul line. Plus he played all 48 minutes.

  However, the Knicks rallied to defeat the Warriors, 109-105.  Curry’s 54 points were the most at the Garden since Kobe scored 61 in 2009.

   Camello  Anthony led the Knicks with 35 points, and J.R. Smith scored 26 off the bench,  including the go-ahead jumper with 1:10 left.

  The Knicks held the Warriors without a bucket over the final 3:41.  Kudos to my favorite Knick player Tyson Chandler, who hauled in 28 rebounds. Chandler became the first Knick since Charles Oakley (1998) with 15 rebounds in a first half when he took 17 before halftime.

  Its hard to believe that Curry was left off the NBA all-star roster. He is the best pure shooter in the league today.
