Last night marked the 70th time Syracuse and UConn matched up as members of the Big East Conference and final time as members of the same conference since SU is jumping to the ACC next season. UConn knocked off sixth ranked SU 66-58. The Orange own the regular season series 37-33, plus and 8-6 advantage in the Big East Tourney.

The Orange shot 35 percent overall and 17 percent from 3-point range. SU was 4-of-23 from beyond the arc.

With the loss, Syracuse fell to 20-4 overall and dropped into a first place tied in the conference at 8-3.  The highlight of the night came in the postgame with Jim Boeheim.

It's unclear what prompted Boeheim's tirade, but a few theories have been reported.

One is that Katz reported information pertaining to James Southerland's academic issues that Boeheim believed he had shared off the record.

The other being that Boeheim did not appreciate Katz' reporting of the Bernie Fine scandal. Regardless, I believe Boeheim, who I love, was out of line.

The Buffalo Sabres average ticket price is $46.15, which ranks as the seventh-cheapest ticket in the league. However, Buffalo saw the largest percentage increase of ticket prices at 26.7% from last season.
