So the Bills are 3-5 at the halfway point of the season. I expected the team to be 4-4. The loss to Tennessee at home hurts the most. I fully expected the Bills to lose on Sunday at Houston. However, I did not expect the Bills to throw the football 44 times and run the ball only 13 times.    Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 38 passes, most of themless than 10 yards. In the end the  Bills didn’t score a touchdown. On a day when the defense played well enough to win. Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller combined for 12 rushes, in fact, Spiller  touched the ball once during a 22-minute stretch of the second half. Really?

A season that began with high hopes is beginning to resemble the last 13 years. Buffalo heads to New England next Sunday, a place they have not won since 2000. Vegas has the Pats as an early 11 point favorite.

Oregon's offense may be the best I have ever seen. Chip Kelly's team is a machine. I loved watching USC give up 62 points. Notre Dame keeps winning. My weekend would of been ruined had the Fighting Irish lost to Pitt. ND needs Oregon and Kansas State to both lose to have any shot of playing for the BCS National Championship. Kudos to Bill O'Brien, Penn State is 6-3 after blowing out Purdue. If the Nittany Lions can go 8-4, he should get some votes for coach of the year.
