Nice to hear Mario Williams will play Sunday at Houston. The surgery to heal the sprained left wrist of Bills $100 million man has also restored the defensive end's self-confidence.
Williams was reportedlty upbeat Monday in discussing how much better he felt physically and mentally after rejoining the Bills following the team’s bye week, and six days after having arthroscopic surgery in Alabama. If the defense is going to get better it starts with number 94.
Jason LaCanfora of CBSSPORTS.COM is reporting that 69-year old Bill Polian wants to return to the NFL. The former Bills G-M is currently employed at ESPN. My wish for 2013, Polian becomes the Bills new G-M, and he hires Andy Reid as head coach, who will probably be fired at seasons end in Philadelphia. I understand this scenario has no chance of happening in Buffalo, but its nice to dream.
And finally, because my wife told me, I went to Wegmans to buy water and batteries in preparation for the storm. Wegmans was out of "D" batteries and jugs of water. So I had to settle for bottled water. It was panic Monday. Wegmans on Monday resembled the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
After purchasing "C" batteries I went to Walgreens to buy flashlights and more batteries. Walgreens was out of the large flashlights, but I purchase three small one. The checkout girl told me Wegmans called them to see if they had any flashlights available.
Myself, wife and daugther all went to bed with a flashlight anticipating the loss of power.
I was thinking yesterday what a money maker a hyped storm can be for the economy.
I conlcluded my day at TC Hooligans for sports trivia. Had a great time talking Superstorm Sandy with the patrons. Fortunately, when I woke up we still had power.
