The Bills had just stopped Tennessee on 4th-and-5 with 3:55 left in the game, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the offense had a chance to seal the win or least punt the ball and force the Titans to go the length of the field but Jason McCourty's pick of an awful throw by Fitz gave Matt Hasselbeck and the Titans one last chance to win the game. Fitz says he got greedy as he threw a terrible pass towards Donald Jones while rookie TJ Graham was wide open on the slant to the left.
After an 8-yard sack by Kyle Moore, the Bills defense allowed allowed a 19-year completion to Nate Washington followed by a 27 yard run by Chris Johnson. Two plays later George Wilson drops an sure interception. Rather than 4-3, the Bills head to the bye week at 3-4. Same old Bills. Tennessee had the worst running game in the NFL but gashed the Bills for 197 yards. This game featured zero defense and zero tackling. Dave Wannstedt's unit has allowed 182 or more yards on the ground in each of their last four games. Mario Williams was invisible again. Lets face it defensively they are a wreck.
Offensively I can not stomach Fitz anymore. I've had it. Maybe Ralph Wilson should of hired back G-M Bill Polian at halftime of Sunday's game.
The Bills (3-4) now enter the bye week with road trips to Houston and New England looming. Buffalo does not play at home again until Thursday, Nov. 15 against Miami. Its appears the playoff drought will be extended for a 13th consecutive season.
