More off the field drama/issues for Mario Williams. The Buffalo Bills defensive end denied on Monday they he ever contemplated suicide and says private comments he made in text messages are taken out of context.   As part of that lawsuit, his ex-fiancée released text messages in which Williams discusses taking prescription painkillers and having thoughts of suicide.

   When asked about the controversy, Williams says that when he mentioned “suicidal thoughts” in a text message, he was “just venting.” Asked about the suicides of Junior Seau and Jovan Belcher, Williams was quick to answer, “Dude, I’m nowhere near that position.” 

   Another text has Williams revealing that he took three hydrocodones that morning, the day of Buffalo's game at New England. And he planned to take two more on the plane home. Hydrocodone is classified as a narcotic, and prescribed to relieve moderate to severe pain. Williams explained that any painkillers he took were prescribed by the team

   Everyone has skeletons or dirty laundry that is meant to be private. I can't comment on how Williams is feeling or what state of mind he is currently in. Maybe it’s the principle of the matter for him to get the ring back. Let hope for his sake their is resolution soon and that Williams is the  right frame of mind by the time camp gets here in Rochester come July.

    It felt at times that Carmello Anthony was all by himself against the Pacers. In the end the Knicks were not beaten by Indiana but rather exposed. Tyson Chandler and J.R. Smith were disappointing in the series against Indiana. Jason Kidd did not score a single point in the series.

    Its not all Anthony's fault New York lost, but he was exposed for not making players around him better. There is a difference between being a star and a super star. Anthony is a great scorer and thats it.  He has flaws but this series was not all about Anthony's failures, but rather the entire roster.  

   Roy Hibbert's block of Anthony's dunk attempt midway through the fourth quarter spurred an 11-2 run that rallied the Indiana Pacers to a 106-99 victory on Saturday night.  He made 2 of 7 shots in the final 12 minutes, scored four points and committed three turnovers.

  New York shot  40 percent from the floor while being outrebounded 43-36. In the paint, the Pacers outscored the Knicks 52-20.

  This was a disappointing finish for a team that could not settle for anything less than advancing to the eastern conference finals.

  Criticisim has followed Lebron James and Carmello Anthony through out their careers, but not Kevin Durrant of OKC.

  A year ago the Thunder were in the NBA Finals, this year they are out in the conference semis.

  I understand no Russell Westbrook, who is out with a knee injury, and remember the team dealt James Harden to Houston in the off season. So the entire Thunder offense was left up to Durant, who scored just 21 points on 5-of-21 shooting in losing last night to Memphis.

   Durrant is getting a pass from the critics, something Lebron never receives and even Mello for that matter.

  Durrant had seven turnovers in Wednesday nights loss. He is a combined 4-22 on field-goal attempts with 9 points in the 4th quarter and OT of the last 3 games. Remember when Lebron took an awful Cavs team to the NBA Finals back in 2007.

    Durrant is not being criticised because he  is likeable, where Lebron is not. Lebron broke up with Cleveland on national tv and is a threat to Michael Jordan. Likeablity can go a long way for an athlete.

   As a Knicks fan I honestly believe they will win tonight but lose game six back in Indiana.
