The Heat defeated the Pacers 103-102 in overtime to take a 1-0 series in the Eastern Conference Finals. Last night's game winning layup was just another play by Lebron James.  James, who finished with a triple-double, was the closer, scoring the game-winner at the buzzer after getting by Paul George for a clear path to the bucket. The play came out of a timeout with 2.2 seconds left. James finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

  Roy Hibbert not on the floor at the end, George, an elite defender made a big mistake over committing on James. The assumption is George is not going to allow James go right by him and a layup is the last thing a good defensive team is going to give up. But the Pacers should of have had their 7'2 shot blocker on the floor to contest James in the lane.

  Pacers Head Coach Frank Vogel chose to put Hibbert on the court  because of Chris Bosh’s ability to hit jump shots. Really? You can live with Bosh hitting a 20 footer.

   The Heat finished with 40 points in the lane. The Pacers did outrebound Miami 43-38, but committed 20 turnovers, leading to 22 Heat points. The Pacers miss a golden opportunity to steal a game in Miami. As for Lebron, two years ago he couldn't a close, last night he reminded all of us why he is compared to Michael Jordan.
